Pendo building as seen from Hargett and McDowell | Acorn on the traffic light

Click here for the spetacular view from the 19th floor of Pendo building with a fancy balcony and great view of churches and landmarks downtown, the iconic cylinder Holiday Inn, and the sunset of the City in a Forest.

19 story building is not technically a skyscraper, but in Raleigh it is.

According the COR Museum, the 3 or 4 story Briggs Hardware building (on Fayetteville, basement and first floor converted to COR Musuem) was considered the first skyscraper of the city.

Other tall buildings I've been to:

  • Shanghai Center (Sky's gray in Shanghai, paying for top floor not recommended.)
    • Top floor (118th floor) ($$)
    • 52th floor (free, 朵云书院, buy pricy drinks to get access to windowside.)
  • Neighbor of Petronas Towers
    • Affordable roottop dining
