I used to always be in a rush when visiting new places, but now I've learned to take my time, explore and appreciate.
I found myself to be more CURIOUS
, and I'm happy for the change.
I always love exploring the unknown, new places, exotic topics, I think one of the reason is that I can get bored easily.
I was shocked that some of my friends never visited downtown Raleigh after living here for months, because that was where I went on my 2nd day here.

I wasn’t a good explorer [0]
My focus was on her
But I’m now (replying to [0])
I searched for food
in the Photos app and I saw this:
I was forced to learn to have fun on my own and be my own best friend.
Since the end of November 2023, I've been on the mission of exploring the city and experience different things.
When I was hiking in Nevada someone said that I was always rushing to the next destination, rushing the process to the destination. That was true. It worked okay for me when I was with other people, but when I'm on my own, how meaningless that was hit me. I spent a lot of time on the road, I passed by interesting buildings and plants and lookout points, sometimes I didn't care to slow down or stop because I passed by them every day. That sucked.
Life is short, but it's okay to stop, and just be, or just stare at the flames or creek.
I wish I took my time to explore KL and Semporna. I was just following her lead most of the time because I was too lazy to plan the routes.
When in KL she was enjoyinig herself in Pasar Seni ("Art Market", or more precicely, the city market, a place like Pike Street), I wasn't feeling well and visited every store fast and got bored, so I told her I'd leave and explore other places on my own while she continues her exploration.
I didn't even bring my physical bank cards or cash with me! I passed by a shawarma place (cash only) and had to wait for her to come and pay for me. It was so cheap and delicious, unlike the ones in Raleigh.
I think back then I kinda stopped being curious
, at least far less curious than I am now.
The current me is not content with just passing by things or turning an blind eye towards things that could potentially be interesting, or only visit a certain part of a park. The people from the AISB trip call me an adventurer because I discovered things some people didn't see, and took every opportunity to make more out of my stay in different places, even if it was just a park where we had lunch. K even told me that he was inspired by me. I'm proud of myself for doing what I did.
I took people on secret trails I discovered near LPGC and south of lake Raleigh, and many other places, and they were so impressed and asked me how I knew the places and trails. I told them I just love exploring.
