𨑨迌
/ chhit-thô
is a very frequently used word, at least in speaking Hokkien. I rate it one of the most Hokkien words.
But many people, even native speakers, do not recognize this word when written in Han script (Chinese characters), but when they hear it, they'd instantly recognize it.
And when written in Han script, it feels very, very arcane, and Mandarin speakers would never be able to guess its sound, which is one of the reasons I created an entry for it. :) It shows the beauty of Hokkien.
